Hi All,

I won`t be around for the next couple of days, as Nick & I are going to Edinburgh, for the German Market, general pottering about, and a nice short break. We`re going up on the train - it`s a lovely ride from Durham.

We`re actually staying at the hotel in which we spent our honeymoon, 38 years ago next month. No doubt there will have been some changes, not least the bill : I found the recept from our stay in 1972, and the bill for two nights on half-board came to £14 52!!!! This for a prime spot on Princes Street, with a view of the Castle!! We probably had to save hard to afford that at the time.

Back soon,

Kathleen x

Oh it sounds wonderful Kathleen!
I agree , that train journey up the east coast is spectacular.
Just to be cheeky, why don't you ask them to match your honeymoon price?

Just be careful now, remember you are not as agile as you were back then.Wink Wink

Have a lovely time.
Doreen xx

I agree with Doreen, why not take the old receipt and they make you an offer of some sort. Wonder if the tram lines are up and running or if Princess Street is still in uproar? Pity Willie wasn't around to update you.

Have a lovely time Kathleen.
